We are pleased to announce that we will be running our Girls’ Centre of Excellence, for the 2019 – 20 season and beyond.

The players selected will compete against other Southern Region Development teams, including the likes of West Bromwich Albion, Reading, Northampton Town and Arsenal. Additionally, there will be a separate programme of games competing against boys’ clubs and advanced centres. They will also have the opportunity to compete against American Elite squads, and travel to some of the world’s biggest tournaments.

The Swindon Town Foundation believes that all girls should be afforded the opportunity to compete all over the planet, in some of the fiercest competitions. 

In the 2017 – 18 season, our U16’s squad from the Girls’ Centre of Excellence travelled to America for the incredible experience of participating in the Dallas Cup. In addition, in the 2018 – 19 season our U12’s and U15’s travelled to compete in the Barcelona Cup, and further trips are planned for the 2019 – 20 campaign.

We currently have over 200 girls participating in this programme within the centre. All of whom are given the opportunity to develop within a structured environment, under the guidance of high quality Swindon Town Foundation qualified coaches, using the latest coaching methods.

Girls will be able to continue to represent their local clubs as well as attending the Centre of Excellence.
